Had a taste for something healthy buttery pancakes with extra syrup. It was late night and decided to stop by here. It did the job for the night for sure.
The last time I visited here was with my parents a few years back. Formerly a Shakey's Pizza Parlor (which I used to visit all the time as a kid), I remember this IHOP as being wildly overpriced the first time I visited several years ago. For that I avoided this branch even though I love IHOP. :-( However, a few days ago I decided to bite the bullet and come here for an early -morning breakfast. The place is nicely laid out with three main sections. I was seated in the section to the right of the host station this time. The guests were quiet and respectful with the glaring exception of two frazzled dudes who looked and sounded for all the world like they'd been up the previous four days swimming in a sea of recreational pharmaceuticals. :-/ That said, the hostess and waitress were very nice and seated me at least a couple booths away from The Whackadoodle Bros. I hadn't seen an IHOP menu for a few years. Normally I'm a Rooty-Tooty Fresh & Fruity fellow, so I was intrigued to see their offering of Scrambled Egg, Bacon, & Cheese Breakfast Tacos. Got those instead and am I glad I did! DELISH! I'm even more stoked since I can easily recreate these back home. :-D After lo these many years, I'm finally and humbly acquiescing and adding IHOP back in to my weekly/fortnightly rotation.
iHop has always been good breakfast; i love all the seasonal(s) and various items they offer. today, i craved something sweet, and the double chocolate chip pancakes were the correct choice. full of a chocolate taste, yet presentation very nice and topped with whipped cream and cherry eyes service will always differ on your server, and its respective wait time, but today was awesome. there was no wait around noon here in daly city, and our waitress was awesome thx for awesome pancakes!
This is definitely one of my go-to spots for a budget-friendly breakfast! I can't help but love their cupcake pancakes and mozzarella sticks. Recently, I've been ordering their strip steak meal with hash browns and scrambled eggs. The grilled onions and mushrooms paired with the steak have this delicious sweet teriyaki flavor that I can't get enough of. While some people hate on IHOP, I honestly believe you get much better value here. The service is quick, and the staff is always hardworking. I've visited other IHOPs, but this one is hands down the best in my area. I usually go early, so I rarely have to wait, and if there's a wait, it's usually under 10 minutes. Plus, I always find parking easily since I go early. My kids love the variety of pancake flavors and the milkshakes.
Was ordered online, would have been better fresh but was on a time crunch. Chicken was amazing, waffle was good but could be crispier if had fresh.
It is what it is. IHOP is pretty consistent. Pancakes were delicious. Coffee was abundant. Service is always reliant on who is working. This time I went, the service was great. The bathroom is in a weird spot, but gets cleaned regularly.
